Happiest of Wednesdays friends!
How's it going?
You've noticed the layout is different today, have you?
Things look a bit messy and out of place do they?
Yeah someone was drinking coffee last night, and at 1:25 am said whatever, I'll fix it in the morning!

So last night I attended a very important meeting.
The main topic of conversation was
How to have a "10" day.
We drew out:
We talked and planned out different things that we could each do to get our days started right and on their way to being "10's"
While talking about this, the question came up,
"What do you do when you're NOT having a "10 day"?
fair question right?
We can plan and put all the systems that we want in place to help us have the best day possible,
but the fact of it is, sometimes the unexpected happens,
things fall off track and the temperature of our day goes DOWN.
Then what?
There are probably many answers to what to do when this happens,
but for me one thing came directly to mind.
We are always in charge of how we want to feel.
Whether we like that or not {sometimes I don't like this truth}
So with that we have the choice to press our
"RESET BUTTON"
and start fresh any moment we choose to.
The day isn't doomed just because we got off track for a bit.
We just pick that sucker up, put it right on the tracks and march on!
{I can easily write this, but I'll say I'm not always the best at doing this immediately}
But how cool is it that we do have the choice!
It's great! We aren't powerless and we don't have to lose precious hours or even days because something went a bit out of sorts.
I've found that as you begin practicing with your reset button,
it becomes easier,
and in off track moments you begin to look for your button and want to press it.
To start over with a fresh perspective and march on!

how awesome that you guys have meetings about this. i totally needed to push my reset button yesterday, and didn't do it until later at night. today i woke up resetting it again, and hoping this day will be a lot better than yesterday's! great post!
I definitely needed to do this yesterday! Today I woke up refreshed and feeling like a 10!
Oh this is really good. Sometimes just having a simple idea like this in your head really helps to put it in practice. Love it!

I love this idea of a reset button! I think I need to utilize this in my life as of right now! I love starting out fresh :) I just stumbled upon your blog and I am really excited to read about you and get to know you :) I am your newest follower and I would love for you to stop by sometime and follow along if you'd like :)

Even though I'm reading this post "a day late" (for me), I positively love it. Before I had Maile, some days I would literally go back to bed. I'd nap for an hour or two, wake, and start my day over again! Now, I don't have that luxury, and I find that it's much harder to push that reset button when you have a toddler stuck to your side, but it doesn't mean I shouldn't try.
PS - I love the changes!
